This set of five dessert dishes in the “Peacock” pattern was made by Spode circa 1820.
\nThe dishes feature two birds in a flower filled garden.
\nThe wide border is decorated with flowers on scrolling vines.
\nChinese export porcelains from the 18th century influenced this pattern.
\nThe dishes predominantly feature greens and pinks, with accents of turquoise, blue, purple, orange, yellow, and beige.
\nThe combination of colors is beautiful.
\nDimensions: diameter 8″-8.25″ two dishes measure 8.25″ diameter
\nCondition: two plates with very slight rubbing to the enamels
\nMarks: Spode’s mark “New Stone” for Ironstone in this period.
