This is a Porcelain blue and white, hand gilded Saucer Dish \/ Bowl made by Miles Mason (Mason’s), Staffordshire Potteries, England around the turn of the 18th century, circa 1805. <\/p>\n

The dish is well potted on a low foot with slightly fluted sides and a scalloped wavy rim .<\/p>\n

It is decorated in the under-glaze blue printed Pagoda or Broseley, chinoiserie Willow pattern, ( sometimes called Boy at the Door pattern). It has been hand gilded around the rim and also around the inside base in pattern No. 241 as illustrated in the book; Miles Mason patterns and shapes edited by Velma Young and published by the Mason’s Collectors’ Club, page 269. Many similar pieces are also illustrated in the same book. <\/p>\n

This piece has the gilt pattern number: 241, hand painted in gold by the inner foot rim.<\/span><\/p>\n
