\n Rare goldscheider ceramic of the 1930s: the standing young variety dancer is only dressed in a headdress and high heels. Looking to the left over her shoulder, she covers herself in front with a large green fan which she holds in her right hand, on her back in her left hand she holds a long green cloth with a white lace pattern against her hip, which, like a veil, rests on the floor behind her. On a black, fluted rectangular base with beveled corners. Designed by stephan dakon (1904 – 1992), one of the most important designers who worked for the goldscheider manufactory from 1924 until the mid-fifties. Dakon designed this model circa 1928\/29. Made circa 1930 manufactory: goldscheider vienna \/ austria material & technique: hand-crafted ceramics, white earthenware, hand-painted, glossy finish size: height: 45.5 cm \/ 17.91 in width: 18.5 cm \/ 7.28 in depth: 11.0 cm \/ 4.33 in marks: model number 5876 \/ 88 \/ 4 goldscheider wien (vienna) manufactory stamp made in austria painter’s and former’s signs existing artist signature ‘dakon’ on base underside this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer\/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
