Olio e Aceto is a refined set hand- crafted in Deruta,Italy in the early 70s.
Long known as a center of refined maiolica manufacture, Deruta remains known for its ceramics, which are exported worldwide. The local clay was good for ceramics, whose production began in the Early Middle Ages and it continues to produce the finest Italian maiolica.
You should know this ceramic set is an iconic piece of Italian culture since back in the days you would find it on the table of every Ristorante and Pizzeria providing the side ingredients to your dishes.
This unique set is entirely hand-crafted and hand-painted by expert hands. It is composed by two graceful bottles where we can find the words “Olio” and “Aceto” which means “Oil” and “Vinegar”. The colourful plate can be used as a tray or a plate for sliced Parma ham or salami in perfect Italian style. Another sweet piece of this set is a toothpick holder in the shape of a bird that can be used to display your favourite olives.
This superb collectible set comes in perfect conditions. No chips or cracks at all. It seems it has never been used before.
