Vintage Chinese Lacquered Dowry Wedding Basket

Beautiful vintage Chinese woven bamboo lacquered and paint decorated wedding basket.
Decorative gilt gold imagery on top along with Chinese writing. Handles and black areas of basket also decorated with hand-painted details. Chinese characters in red appear in basket and in cover and will assume signed by artist/maker.
