Very nice early 19th century southern Cherry inlay slant front desk probably Tennessee or Kentucky 1820-30. String inlay on the lid and drawer fronts, inlay banding around the bottom of the case, and canted case corners. Yellow pine secondary wood. Hardware is original to the piece. All locks are intact and there are keys for the interior door and lid. There is a hidden well area behind the center door in the fitted interior. Feet are a possible older later replacement. Very nice color and patina on an old surface with imperfections and color differences.
