19th Century, Oriental Lacquered and Giltwood Console Table

Particular oriental console table, made at the end of the 19th century, in black lacquered wood and polychrome decorations. The console table has a curvy and graceful line, with four curved legs and sides with a molded profile and edged with gold thread. The legs and sides have a rich decoration with phytomorphic motifs in green lacquer edged and floral elements in ivory lacquer. The top shows a refined and elegant decoration with golden geometric motifs, green and ivory floral motifs. Inside a second frame in golden thread are also depicted two large birds in light lacquer and gold.
This console table, thanks to its finish on all sides, can be used as a center table or placed against a wall of an entrance, a study or a hall. Its elegant structure and finish make it suitable for both environments characterized by modern taste furnishings and next to antique furniture.
