A rare and fine example of an 18th century bird cage pie crust tea table. This piece was deaccessioned from the San Diego Museum of Art and retains its label and inventory numbers. They had this table listed as American and from Newport. It is believed that this example is in fact 18th century, but Irish as the design would be more indicative of the makers at the period in Ireland. The pie crust top is a very well executed carving. It is has a very pleasing patina and would make a nice addition to any furniture collection.
