A vintage Noriatka China Japan, Goldcroft 4983 Lidded Vegetable Bowl. This pattern was produced from 1948 to 1955. Cream colored china with gold trim. This bowl is approximately 8″ wide (11″ including the handle), and 3″ deep without the lid. Very good vintage condition with minor scuffs and minimal gold loss. Please examine all photos closely.

Nambé is an eight-metal alloy whose major component is aluminum. It was created at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the 1940s and is exclusively produced by the Nambé Mills, Inc., which was founded in 1951 near Nambé Pueblo, some 10 miles north of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The alloy has the luster of silver and the solidity of iron. Because Nambé’s alloy is a trade secret, the Nambé company does not divulge the rest of the formula. The metal is often sand cast and polished to a high luster to create aluminum alloy products such as serving pieces, cookware, bowls, platters, trays, dishes, plates, napkin rings, candle holders, wine bottle holders, martini shakers and coasters. Nambé is still in existence and now caters to high end department stores and buyers. This piece is very substantial and heavy. Each piece is hand made and unique, featuring ultra ultra mid-century modern geometric shaping. Wipe Nambé alloy product by hand with mild soap and dry immediately with a soft clean cloth. Never place your Nambé metal product in the microwave. With proper care, your Nambé product will look beautiful and maintain its lustrous finish.

Vintage Victorian Style 15.5″ Round Silver Plated Grapevine Small Punch Bowl. Item features a repeating grapevine pattern to rim, very nice vintage item, great style and form. Circa Mid 20th Century. Measurements: 11″ H x 15.5″ Diameter.

This lovely lidded Jar is made of porcelain; This beautiful piece is stamped on the bottom RS Rosenthal, see pictures. This charming box is a wonderful pattern in green leaves on a white background with gold trim and gold detailing.

From the Grand Maison Quimper factory, a Breton handled serving piece with an attached condiment bowl, France, circa 1915 – 1920.

This piece shows the mark registered in 1882. The HB represents the de la Hubaudière family name and the factory founders name, Bousquet. In 1904, the word Quimper was added to the HB mark.

An unusual piece suitable for cooked vegetables with a sauce or crudités with a dip. The main bowl of this serving piece shows a scalloped rim with an inner border glazed in a blue entwined border with blue dotting and a running floral border. The exterior is bordered in a similar manner. The inside of the main bowl shows a hand-painted sujet ordinaire central image of a Breton couple in the native dress. The garçon stands with a walking stick, his female companion holds a flower. They stand between arbustes – an evergreen tree and a spray of upright grass. Brightly painted. The attached smaller condiment bowl also has a scalloped rim, glazed with a complimentary border and a central floral spray.

Two side twisted handles are sponge glazed in blue. The outside is painted with a similar border. There is a footing on the bottom, pierced for hanging.

Faïenceries de Quimper has been potted and hand painted in a factory near Quimper, in Brittany, France since 1708. The pottery reflects a strong traditional Breton influence and the typical design is the “Petit Breton”, a naive representation of a Breton man or woman in traditional costume. The “Petit Breton” became popular circa 1870 and is still the main design used in newer pieces. Older Quimper faience items are strongly sought after by collectors worldwide.
