Italian Mid-Century Modern Tommaso Barbi Ginkgo Floor Lamp Bottega Gadda, Monumental

Very rare 10 leaf Ginko floor lamp designed and produced in Italy by Tommaso Barbi for Bottega Gadda circa 1970s. Incised manufacturer’s mark to the stem of the work near the base reading ‘Handcrafted in Italy G&C’. The base also has two original ‘Made in Italy’ stickers as well. This is the only 10 leaf Ginko lamp available within the United States on the second hand market. This work has been newly re-wired. In original condition.

Nobi 4 model floor lamp by fontana arte and dating from the 1990s. Chromed metal structure which supports two pairs of satin glass discs kept in place by two pivots which allow diffusers to rotate. Double variator allowing an independent level of lighting between the pairs of discs. Very nice condition. Dimensions: h200 x l40 x d40 cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,

Foot lamp Mezza Luna designed in 1974 by the Italian Bruno Gecchelin. It occurred in later years for the firm Skipper and Pollux in Milan.

The design consists of a chromed tubular steel structure, a marble base and a white/ beige lacquered adjustable head. In the song of the screen is an adjustable switch that allows us to vary the intensity of the light. The shaft is adjustable from 180cm to 197cm, so we can also play with height. The head turns on itself to aim at the light any direction.

This striking Scandinavian Modern floor lamp was produced by the Swedish company Svensk Hemslöjd in the 1950s. The design is marked by the elegant three legged base, with curved outward bending legs. The base and central round stem are made of solid oak wood. The slightly tapered shade has been renewed in an ivory, linen textured fabric which offers a nice contrast with the blonde oak wood. The design is completed by the disc shaped finial placed on top of the shade, again in oak wood. The lamp is in very good, restored condition. Currently wired with a 220V European plug.
