Vintage Industrial Haberdashery Storage Drawer Unit An amazing statement set of factory drawers. These drawers were salvaged from a disused Hungarian factory. There are 60 drawers split into 3 tiers. The drawers are wooden with dovetails joints and metal label holders. The unit has a steel frame with its original green paint and on large metal wheels with rubber tyres. Each drawer has a cut out handle on the front and rear and slides on steel runners, there is a metal stopper at the rear of the cabinet to stop the drawer in position. Rare folk art cabinet from Järvsö in Hälsingland, Sweden. The cabinet is made by hand in solid pine around 1790 to 1810 and has the original paint which is in very good condition. Note that there are no clouds painted on the short ends of the cabinet. There are some minor marks and traces of wear after 250 years of use. This type of stylised clouds on a black base are typical for the village Järvsö, this kind of painting only existed in that area. The cabinet has the original lock and key in functional condition. The cabinet is made in one single piece and has a healthy, solid frame. The depth including the trim around the bottom is 49 cm. Without the trim the lower cabinet is 44 cm deep and the upper 28 cm deep. The width including the pediment is 108 cm, excluding the pediment the frame of the cabinet measures 92 cm wide.

Item offered is a lovely scare limited production line by Berkey & Gay from the 1920s. It is a walnut veneer with walnut burlwood veneer door and drawer fronts. It has nice varved millwork and moldings. They are hand-painted oil paintings on the front blind door panels and an oval section on the dovetailed drawer. It has beautifully carved legs and a shapely crossbar between the legs. It has 2 walnut shelves. It is a unique decorative cabinet that can be used in many rooms and spaces.
