Set of four office chairs by Richard Sapper in a beige fabric which has been fully cleaned and in very good condition.

These products do not have a label but were manufactured by Knoll.

Antique Gothic Revival ash & leather armchair desk chair, sitting on castors. English – Circa 1880.

The chair has been fully reupholstered including re-webbing and finished in a quality pigmented dark brown leather by Wildman & Bugby. It has a smooth texture and is durable. The inners all comply with fire regulations.

The stylish ash frame has line and dot carved detail. The frame has been cleaned and waxed and in very good condition, showing a few light marks with use. The chair is sturdy with no loose joints or damage.

This piece would work well as a desk chair as it has an upright feel.

Special English office chair made by Trapnell & Gane from Cardiff. This chair is made of solid oak and has a very decorative wood grain on the seat. The chair is in very good condition considering its age, is not rickety and is comfortable. The only thing to note are a few old woodworm holes sporadically, which have been checked. The Trapnell & Gane company started as early as 1824 and was known for its high quality furniture, which was often purchased by people of status. The company had several locations and eventually closed its doors shortly after World War II. The Cardiff branch was sold in the 1930s, so this chair also dates from before that time. 45cm seat height, 83cm back height, 68cm wide, 58cm deep.

A stunning really early edition of this model 591 “Sculpture” chair designed by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm for BO-EX Denmark.
