If you love unique decor you will really enjoy this mid century hand made and etched hanging brass bell and mallet! This makes for a perfect dinner gong, a reception room accessory, meditation piece, or mid century decor. This beautiful bell exhibits great craftsmanship and hangs from a koi fish etched structure, sturdy base, and includes a hanging mallet – all in solid brass. The bell hangs via a hook from the stand and the mallet hooks onto the stand and dangles to the side. The underside is marked “made in Hong Kong”.

Restored Austin Productions Extra Tall and Heavy Impressionism Style Embracing Couple Durastone Sculpture by Klara Sever Circa 1971

Elegant Durastone that has been fully restored and is in mint condition with no cracks or chips. Sculpture has been painted in its original color, a coppery bronzed tone with heavy dark green accents giving it a old World bronze sculpture look and feel. Finished with a heavy lacquer top coat, with new felt added to the base. Durastone is a special formulation of crushed stone mixed in a slurry, hand-cast and hand-finished.

I have been working on a passion project that involves purchasing sculptures from various sources and with varying degrees of damage. It has been a labor of love with countless hours and loads of hard work. My goal is to restore these pieces back to their original grandeur, sometimes with an updated color palate when appropriate. I hope to not only keep another artist’s masterpiece living on for a few more decades, but to introduce the next generation to sculptures as home décor that may otherwise end up in our landfills.

Fantastic table top sculpture in the manner of Hattakitkosol Somchai and Henry Moore. Sculpture is in absolute mint condition with no damage of any kind. When I found this sculpture at an estate sale, it was originally on a black and white marble base that was damaged. I had it transferred to it’s current black powdered coated steel base. I do still have the original marble base if the buyer would like to have it.

Having a Buddha statue in your living space is believed to aid in the development of inner qualities such as peace, beauty, and harmony by promoting the circulation of beneficial chi. This gilded bronze Buddha statue with heavy patina is peaceful, serene, and incredibly realistic with exquisite details. I’ve not seen another quite like this piece.

The statue is sizable and unique, measuring 15″ in height, 10″ in width, and 6″ in depth. It displays wonderful heavy oxidization and patina, which I have left in its “as found” condition. However, if desired, it could be polished to uncover more of the gold color.

I also have another identical statue that has much less oxidation and patina. This piece could be cleaned and polished to resemble that one. Please refer to the photo of both pieces for illustration. These would be wonderful to decorate a home, yoga studio, meditation space or spa.

This handsome parian bust is of Robert Stephenson(1803-1859- England),. It is documented on the back shoulders in embossed letters with the name of subject, sculptor, publisher, and date. Stephenson is considered by many to be the greatest civil engineer of the 19th Century. Among his works were bridges and railroads in Britain, Canada and continental Europe, as well as the locomotives that ran on them and other steam engines. Edward William Wyon (1811-1885), the artist who created the piece, studied at the Royal Academy schools beginning in 1829 and soon became a celebrated sculptor. He exhibited at the Royal Academy regularly from 1831 to 1876. Among his commissions were works intended for reproduction by Wedgwood as well as numerous portrait busts. Like this one, many of his subjects were portrayed as garbed in ancient robes and were sculpted younger than their age at the time. Josiah Wedgwood & Sons “published” this bust on March 12, 1858 about a year before Stephenson died. Parian ware is a type of biscuit porcelain imitating marble. It was developed around 1845 and used for statuary and small tableware pieces. This bust is a real treasure and will add interest and distinction to any room, but might be particularly appreciated as a gift to your engineer loved one.

Antique English Bisque Sculpture Signed J. Durham 1814-1877.

Copland bisque sculpture titled, “Go to Sleep“ was made for the Art Union of London. It depicts a charming scene of a young girl with her dog. The figure was sculpted after the original by J. Durham, dated 1862 and also stamped with the maker’s mark, “J. Durham Sc. 1862”. The English sculptor acquired fame and attracted a great deal of attention with the creation of the busts of Queen Victoria, Jenny Lind and numerous others. This is a beautiful work of art with the finest details.
Condition is very good. Small chip under the base.
