Circa 1760 Chippendale taste pembroke table, English. George III period. Exceptionally handsome; solid mahogany. Ribbon & carved carved edges with rosette accents. Flat, pierced cross-stretcher. The edge carving & slight leg taper suggests the skill of a London cabinetmaker familiar with French taste. Chippendale, Vile and their peers used such carved flourishes.
