19th century French Chinoiserie hand-painted panel on canvas was originally a decorative panel in a lavish home, resurrected and newly stretched and framed by our expert in-house staff! The scene was inspired by the European fascination with all things Oriental which reached a peak during the Belle Epoque. Depicting a delightful courtyard scene with the figures interacting with birds and enjoying a Spring day, it was executed in two colors, primarily a forest green of varying hues. A delightful French foliate border appears around the entire perimeter for added visual appeal.
